Reducing Window Condensation

Posted on February 25, 2014 at 2:49 pm

Condensation is more prominent in some houses compared to others, and if your windows suffer from constant condensation during the winter, then you may want to take our following tips on board.

If you’re cooking in the kitchen then reduce the amount of moisture in the air by keeping food covered and doors closed. Extractor fans should be left on when food is being cooked, and a window can be opening if you do not have an extractor fan. Any clothes than need drying should be left to dry outside.

Just keeping the windows open in general can reduce window condensation as well as mould, and it’s all about reducing the amount of moisture in the air, especially in the areas where there is little air movement, such as behind wardrobes or curtains or blinds.
